Ayyoub Momen
Founder & CEO


​Dr. Ayyoub M. Mome is the inventor of the ultrasonic clothes dryer and a successful scholar in thermal fluid sciences, specifically drying technologies.  He launched the "Ultrasonic Technology Solutions" company in 2018.  In 2015, he received the highly competitive Early Career Researcher Award at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He also received an award from the former U.S. Assistant Secretary of Energy.  He has led large interdisciplinary research projects and he has more than 50 publications, 7 patents, and several invention disclosures.
He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Florida. He is active member of ASHRAE and ASME.

John Morris
COO and Business Development


​Previously, Mr. Morris was the COO for ImmersaCAD, a cloud-based SaaS platform for architects and engineers to share their designs in virtual reality.  
Previously, Mr. Morris founded Clearpath Ventures, a venture focused company, engaging with multiple companies as a team member to provide strategic experience, guidance and direction.  
Previously to that, Mr. Morris was the President and CEO of Technology 2020, a venture development organization focused on the development of entrepreneurs and start-ups in the Tennessee Valley Corridor.  He has worked with technology businesses for 25 years. 
He holds degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.

Benjamin R. Colgrove
Vice President, Business Development
​Ben Colgrove joined Ultrasonic Technology Solutions after leading laboratory operations at Electric Power Research Institute’s multifaceted energy research labs. He also directed corporate environmental, health and safety; and various project management and business operations.  
Prior to EPRI, Mr. Colgrove led operational R&D of advanced nuclear enrichment technology with Centrus Energy (formerly USEC, Inc.).  Mr. Colgrove also served in several operations, manufacturing, and logistics roles in the civilian and military sectors.  He began his career directing at-sea operations of U.S. Navy nuclear submarines.
 Mr. Colgrove received a Master’s in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Nuclear Engineering from the Naval Post Graduate School, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University.​

Jon Bigelow
​Lead Engineer
​Jon Bigelow joined UTS after working in the composite industry for several years. He was an engineer at the Fibers and Composites Manufacturing Facility (FCMF) at the University of Tennessee and Oak Ridge National Laboratory facilities. Focusing heavily on destructive sample testing and data acquisition and reporting. Additionally, he was involved with several compression and injection molding projects concentrating on low-cost carbon fiber and various plastic composites. During this position, he also worked frequently with 3D-printing custom designs for many projects. He holds a Mechanical Design certification in Solidworks (3D modeling software) and is proficient in Autodesk software, excel, and MATLAB. He has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Tennessee with focuses on Reliability and Maintainability as well as Economics.

Connor Shelander,
​Team Member 
​Connor Shelander is a team member at Ultrasonic Technology Solutions. He has 6 years of experience in the design and fabrication of robotics systems from his time spent on various robotics teams within the Knoxville area. His experiences include designing mechanical systems, using manual and CNC machining tools, complex system fabricating, complex programming and system modeling using various computer aided design programs. He is certified in Autodesk Inventor, and Autodesk Fusion 360, and is well versed in other CAD programs. Additionally, he is experienced in using a Scrum framework to organize and coordinate workplace productivity

Lee Reisinger
​​Advisory Board
Mr. Reisinger has over 50 years of leadership experience in the consumer, forest products and alternative energy industries, domestically and internationally, for ReiTech, Industra, and the Procter & Gamble Company (P&G), where he was Director of Engineering for Tissue & Towel. His background includes a consistent record of achievement in process development, project management, international management, business strategic planning, organizational consulting and venture development and acquisitions. He served on the Operating Board of the $3B-in-sales Paper Division, which pioneered the evolution from Brand Management to Category Leadership Teams, with specific responsibility for the $800M-in-sales Bounty towel
business.
